Watch: Complete Lifecycle of the Fruit Fly

Education

Science, Education, Innovation, and Quality Products are the pillars making Insects Limited a leader in pheromone technology.

Insects Limited's videos offer training to eradicate pest hassles and stop them before they start.

Following the theme this month, entomologist, Patrick Kelley takes a detailed look into the complete life cycle of fruit flies that can help us understand this small pest.

Fruit flies progress from egg, through several larval instars, to pupa and then to adult in as little as 10 days. Males initiate courtship rituals after picking up short-range pheromones from females. Adult fruit flies can live up to 40 days.
