Black Carpet Beetle kits feature Insect Limited’s signature pheromone Bullet Lures™ that attract Black Carpet Beetle adult males with a controlled release of pheromone over a 3-month period. The lures are paired with the Flat Trap™ which is the recommended, field-tested and best trapping system for black carpet beetles. These black carpet beetle traps can easily be placed on floors, under furniture or on shelves in closets or throughout other living spaces or storage rooms. Black carpet beetles that are attracted to the lure are readily stuck in the glue for monitoring purposes upon entering the trap.

The Black Carpet Beetle traps will need to be folded into place by hand, according to the instructions on the back of the kit box. The glue pad on each trap is covered with release paper that should be removed after the traps have been folded into place.
When you open this box, you will find 10 pheromone Bullet Lures™. Each pheromone lure is individually packaged to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them into a trap.
When you are ready to use the black carpet beetle traps, the lures should be removed from their packaging by cutting or tearing the plastic package. The lures should then be placed on their sides into the center of the glue surface of sticky traps.
Although the pheromone in the Bullet Lures™ is non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. Pheromone Bullet Lures™ are non-pesticidal and only act as an attractant.
The traps are then ready to be placed out in areas where black carpet beetles are being seen. These traps will begin your monitoring program for Black Carpet Beetles that are attracted to the pheromones in the Bullet Lure.

Each Black Carpet Beetle Kit box has dimensions of 10 inches X 9 inches X 1 inches and weighs 1 lb for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
