Hanwell FlexiCube Pre-Formed Anoxic Enclosures; HW-T487, HW-T488 and HW-T489 are made up of heavy duty, foil, barrier films. The FlexiCube comes in three different sizes. Which size you will need is based on the size of the object(s) going inside the anoxic enclosure. All sizes contain a flat, base-sheet that lays on the ground and a pre-formed, cube-shaped enclosure that fits over the top. FlexiCubes come ready for museum object anoxic storage. The first step in the process is to lay out the base-sheet onto a clean, flat surface. Objects can th
en be gently placed onto the sheet. A Hanwell Oxygen Scavenger (HW-T550) should be placed inside the FlexiCube enclosure to remove atmospheric oxygen (Different quantities of scavenger are needed based on the enclosure size). The Hanwell Oxygen Indicator (HW-O2-AI) can also be inserted into the clear circular pocket-window of the FlexiCube at this time to be observed throughout the low oxygen storage period. The LED light will turn from red to green when oxygen levels are < 0.02% and the low oxygen storage is in progress.
When the object(s), the scavenger and the oxygen indicator have been properly installed into the FlexiCube enclosure, the base-sheet can then be heat sealed on all four sides to the pre-formed cube that covers the object(s). A good seal will ensure long-term, low oxygen storage.

Once the Hanwell FlexiCube Pre-Formed Anoxic Enclosures package is received, you will open the box to find the FlexiCube base-sheet and the FlexiCube pre-formed cube enclosure sealed in a protective foil bag. There are 3 different sizes of FlexiCube depending on the size of the objects being placed into the anoxic storage. Here is a list of the 3 different FlexiCube sizes:
T487 -FlexiCube 1: 1 cubic meter enclosure (1 m x 1 m x 1 m ) Ideal for larger objects, eg. Furniture, wooden carvings
T488 -FlexiCube 3: 3 cubic meter enclosure (1.5 m x 1.5 m x 1.3 m) Ideal for larger objects, eg. Furniture
T489 -FlexiCube 5: 5 cubic meter enclosure (2 m x 2 m x 1.25 m) Ideal for larger objects, eg. Furniture

Each Hanwell FlexiCube Pre-Formed Anoxic Enclosure comes packaged in a cardboard box. The shipped package has dimensions of 20 inches X 12 inches X 12 inches and weighs 6 lbs for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
