Product Description 

Hanwell Oxygen Scavenger, HW-T550, reacts with atmospheric oxygen in the FlexiArt and FlexiCube enclosures to bring oxygen levels beneath the levels of 0.02%.

What to Expect with Your Order 

Once the Hanwell Oxygen Scavenger, HW-T550 package is received, you will open the box to find an orange strip of 3 connected packets of the scavenger sealed off in a green-colored, see-through, gas-impermeable outer wrap. 

When you have an enclosure that is ready to be sealed off for anoxic storage, the outer wrap of the strip can be torn open and the orange strip can be placed inside the enclosure. The oxygen scavenger immediately begins to react with atmospheric oxygen in the enclosure and the oxygen level inside will begin to drop. Note: when the scavenger is actively reacting with oxygen, the orange strip will rise in temperature and become quite warm. Once the oxygen has been consumed, the strip will immediately begin to cool down.  

How Much is Needed? 

Each green-colored outer wrap that holds 3 connected orange packs of the scavenger is enough to remove the oxygen contained in 1 cubic meter of atmospheric air. The following table gives you an idea of how much scavenger is needed to adequately remove the oxygen in the Hanwell enclosures:

Each Hanwell Oxygen Scavenger, HW-T550 package contains 1 strip of scavenger. Each orange-colored strip has 3 sections. The shipped package has dimensions of 12 inches X 10 inches X 6 inches and weighs 2 lbs for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.

We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box. 

All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
