The set of lures (IL-503) features the Insect Limited’s signature pheromone lures that attract Cigarette Beetles with a controlled release of pheromone over 3 months. Cigarette Beetle adult males are attracted to the sex attractant pheromone in the lure and are readily captured in the pitfall area when paired with the All Beetle Trap™ or are captured in the glue for monitoring purposes when paired with a suitable sticky trap such as the NoSuvivor Trap™. The cylindric shape and the softer polyethylene that the lures are made from optimizing the pheromone release for Cigarette Beetles.
How This Product Can Help You
The Cigarette Beetle lure pair the science of insect biology to a synthetically designed and laboratory-produced pheromone to assist you with the task of monitoring for these pests in your environment. In an Integrated Pest Management program, monitoring can ultimately help you reduce pest numbers. When paired with a trapping system, the lures do this by:
1.) Telling you if insects are present
2.) Indicating where they are coming from and
3.) Finally telling you whether the control measures (E.g. removal of infested product, increased sanitation, freezing of infested products, etc), that you have taken are working or not
How to Use This Product
When you open this box, you will find 10 pheromone lures. Each pheromone lure is individually packaged to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them into a trap.
When you are ready to use this product, the lures should be removed from their packaging by cutting or tearing the plastic package. The lures should then be snapped into place in the clear lid of the All Beetle Trap or should be placed on their sides into the center of the glue surface of NoSurvivor Traps or other suitable sticky traps.
Although the pheromone in the lures is non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible, or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. Insects Limited’s pheromone lures are non-pesticidal and only act as a beetle attractant.

Each Cigarette Beetle lure box has dimensions of 8 inches X 6 inches X 4 inches and weighs 1 lb for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
