Pest Detective Kits feature Insect Limited’s effective and easy-to-use Pest Detective trap. Pest Detective traps have food moth pheromone incorporated into the glue on the interior of the trap and come out of the package ready-touse. The pheromone in the Pest Detective trap contains powerful pheromones for multiple Food Moth species. The pheromones in this lure will attract:
Indian meal moth, Plodia interpunctella
Almond Moth, Cadra cautella
Mediterranean Flour Moth, Ephestia kuehniella
Tobacco Moth, Ephestia elutella
Raisin Moth, Cadra figulilella
and other species.
The pheromone infused directly into the glue is paired with the uniquely designed Pest Detective trap which is an excellent means of capturing these moths. These traps can easily be secured onto the underside of counters in retail settings or homes and can also simply be placed onto shelves, counters or onto the flour to monitor for moth activity. Moths that are attracted to the lure are readily stuck in the glue upon entering the trap.

What to Expect From Your Pest Detective Kit
When you open this kit box, you will find the 20 pre-formed, ready-to-use traps. The re-sealable, gas-barrier packaging keeps the traps fresh until you put them out. The instructions are printed on the outside of the packaging. The instructions explain:
How and where to place the traps in residences and in commercial settings.
When to replace the traps.
How to store unused traps for extended periods of time while retaining their full attractancy
All of the pheromone-infused traps come in a re-sealable barrier-film package to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them out. When you are ready to use this product, the heat-sealed end of the package should be torn open and the traps that you would like to begin using should be removed. The zip-lock package should then be re-sealed to keep the remaining traps fresh.
Although the pheromone attractant and the glue are non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. Pheromone lures are non-pesticidal and only act as an insect attractant.
The traps come ready to be placed out in areas where moths are being seen and they can easily be adhered to the underside of counters or on top of any horizontal surface. These traps will begin your monitoring program for Food Moths that are attracted to the pheromone infused into the glue on the interior of the traps. These traps will give you the information that you need to locate your moth issue.

Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
