The Dermestid Attractant Lures (IL-3051-10) feature the Insect Limited’s custom attractant for all types of dermestid beetle (carpet beetle, warehouse beetle, odd beetle, hide beetle and larder beetle) larvae and adults.
These lures are made up of a combination of multiple food attractants that have been tested both in the laboratory and in the field on dermestid beetle larvae and adults.
These Dermestid Attractant lures that will attract a multitude of species will remain attractive for 1 year. The larval stages as well as adult male and female carpet beetles are attracted to the lure and are readily stuck in the glue when paired with an appropriate trapping system.

These Dermestid Beetle Attractant lures pair the science of insect biology to a strongly researched food attractant that was designed specifically to attract the damaging stages of carpet beetles and other dermestid beetles.

How to Use the Dermestid Attractant Lure
When you open this kit box, you will find 10 Dermestid Attractant Lures. Each food lure is individually packaged to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them into a trap.
When you are ready to use this product, the lures should be removed from their packaging by cutting or tearing the plastic package. The lures should then be placed into the center of the glue surface of sticky traps or in the middle of the glue pad of the All Beetle™ trap.
Although the lures are food-based and non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. Dermestid Attractant Lures are non-pesticidal and only act as a beetle attractant.

Each set of Dermestid Attractant Lures box has dimensions of 6 inches X 6 inches X 4 inches and weighs 1 lb for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
