This custom designed trap was specifically designed to attract in female food moths of the following species; Indian meal moth, Plodia interpunctella, Almond Moth, Cadra cautella, and Mediterranean Flour Moth, Ephestia kuehniella. The Moth Suppression Trap™ can easily be hung in food closets or throughout warehouses, food manufacturing facilities or storage rooms. The Moth Suppression™ trap by itself will not attract insects. It must be paired with a Moth Suppression lure. Insects that are attracted to the lure are readily stuck in the glue upon entering the trap.

Features and Benefits
Female food moths of the species Indian meal moth, Plodia interpunctella, Almond Moth, Cadra cautella, and Mediterranean Flour Moth, Ephestia kuehniella are much more difficult to attract into a trap that the males. For this reason, this trap was specifically designed to be 50% larger than a standard diamond (NoSurvivor) trap, thus making it easier for the females to enter. Since female moths that are looking to lay eggs tend to look for shadowed areas to rest, the interior of the trap has been shaded to be a dark gray color to make it comfortable for them to enter. We also know from university research that food moths tend to be attracted to vertical lines. Distinct patterns of vertical lines have been printed on the exterior of this trap to draw the female and male moths in. All of these design features work together to give the best trapping system available to capture both male and female food moths.

Finally telling you whether the control measures (E.g. removal of the infested product, increased sanitation, freezing, etc.) that you have taken are working or not.

When to replace the traps.
The traps will need to be pulled apart and folded into place by hand, according to the enclosed instructions in the kit box. When you are ready to use this product, your lures (sold separately) should be removed from their packaging and placed on their sides into the center of the bottom portion of the glue in each trap.
You will then be ready to remove the white twist-tie hangers from the package. One end of the wire hanger should be run through the hole located in the center of the top edge of the trap, and then twisted to secure it to the trap. The traps are then ready to be placed out and secured to any solid fixture using the opposite end of the hanger. This should be done in areas where the target insects are being seen.
This will begin the process of monitoring for male and female food moths that are attracted to the female sex pheromones or the egg-laying food attractant in the lure. These traps will give you the information that you need to reduce or remove your pest issue. If the glue from the trap accidentally gets onto your hands, it is not toxic and can be easily washed off using soap and warm water.
Moth Suppression Trap Assembly Instructions:
Pull the 1/2” seams along the top and bottom in opposite directions.
IMPORTANT: Pivot the ends of the bottom seams upwards into the trap by using the dotted lines as a guide.
Thread twist-tie hanger securely through the hole. Hang the monitor.
The traps are then ready to be placed out in areas where moths are being seen to begin monitoring for male and female food moths.

Each Moth Suppression trap box has dimensions of 10 inches X 7 inches X 3 inches and weighs 3 lb for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
