The set of pheromone lures (IL-1805) features Insect Limited’s signature pheromone lures that use a blend of multiple pheromones mixed into a food attractant, and injected into a circular, synthetic matrix to draw-in:
Red Flour Beetle, Tribolium castaneum
Confused Flour Beetle, Tribolium confusum
Cigarette Beetle, Lasioderma serricorne
Warehouse Beetle, Trogoderma variabile
Khapra Beetle, Trogoderma granarium
Rice Weevil, Sitophilus oryzae
Saw-toothed Grain Beetles, Oryzaephilus surinamensis,
and many other species.
These beetles are attracted to the lure and are readily stuck in the glue for monitoring purposes when paired with a suitable trapping system.
Problem Solved
SPB lures can pair the science of insect biology to the technology of a trapping system to assist you with the task of monitoring for these pests in your environment. In an Integrated Pest Management program, monitoring can ultimately help you reduce pest numbers. When paired with a trapping system, the lures do this by:
1.) Telling you if insects are present
2.) Indicating where they are coming from and
3.) Finally telling you whether the control measures (E.g. removal of infested product, increased sanitation, freezing of infested products, etc), that you have taken are working or not
How to Use This Product
When you open this box, you will find 10 SPB lures in a resealable pouch. The pheromones should be kept in their vapor-barrier pouch, completely sealed, to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them into a trap.
When you are ready to use this product, the lures should be removed from their pouch by opening the zipper-seal opening and shaking out the lure or grabbing it with a tweezers. The lures should then be positioned on their sides into the center of the glue surface of sticky traps that are being used to capture the beetles. (Insects Limited recommends using the IL-2600 All Beetle Trap™ as the preferred trapping system for Stored Product Beetles)
Although the pheromone in the lures is non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. Pheromone lures are non-pesticidal and only act as an insect attractant.

Each SPB lure box has dimensions of 8 inches X 6 inches X 4 inches and weighs 1 lb for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
