The IL-160-10 kit (Moth Suppression ™) features the Insect Limited’s proprietary Moth Suppression Lures™ that attract both male and female moths of multiple species of food moth with a controlled release of pheromone/egg-laying attractant over 2 months. The Moth Suppression Lures are paired with the Moth Suppression Trap™. The design of the Moth Suppression Trap incorporates a 50% larger trapping area than NoSurvivor traps, a darker interior, researched shapes and vertical lines that are needed to attract females moths looking to lay their eggs. These traps can easily be hung in warehouses, storage areas, food pantries, or throughout other living spaces or storage rooms. Male and female moths are attracted to the lure and are readily stuck in the glue upon entering the trap.
How the Moth Suppression Kit™ Can Help You
This Moth Suppression Kit pairs the science of insect biology to the technology of a trapping system to assist you with the task of monitoring for these pests in your environment. In an Integrated Pest Management program, monitoring can ultimately help you reduce pest numbers. When paired with a trapping system, the lures do this by:
Telling you if the moths are present,
Indicating where they are coming from and
Finally telling you whether the control measures (E.g. removal of the infested product, increased sanitation, freezing, etc.) that you have taken are working or not.
What to Expect from your Moth Suppression Kit™
When you open this kit box, you will find the 10 traps folded, and stacked along with 20 Moth Suppression Lures (2 jars of 10 lures/jar) and an Instruction Sheet of How to place the lures into the trap, Where to place the traps, and When to replace the traps. The traps will need to be pulled apart and folded into place by hand, according to the enclosed instructions in the kit box.
Each jar containing the lures is packaged to keep them fresh until you are ready to place them into a trap. When you are ready to use this product, the lures should be removed from the screw-lid jar using tweezers and placed on their sides into the center of the bottom portion of the glue in each trap.
Although the pheromone and egg-laying attractant in the lures is non-toxic, avoid direct contact with your skin if possible or simply wash your hands with warm water and soap if contact is made. One end of the wire hanger should be run through the hole located in the center of the top edge of the trap, and then twisted to secure it to the trap.
The traps are then ready to be placed out and secured to any solid fixture using the opposite end of the hanger. This should be done in areas where moths are being seen. This will begin the process of trapping egg-laying females and the process of monitoring for male food moths that are attracted to the female sex pheromone.
These traps will give you the information that you need to reduce or remove your moth issue. Moth Suppression Lures are non-pesticidal and only act as a moth attractant. If the glue from the trap accidentally gets onto your hands, it is not toxic and can be easily washed off using soap and warm water.

Each Moth Suppression Kit box has dimensions of 12 inches X 9 inches X 4 inches and weighs 3 lb for shipping purposes. Online customers can choose their shipping options at checkout. Orders placed before 3pm EST typically get processed that day. If placed after 3pm EST, your order will be processed the next business day. Orders are shipped Monday-Friday.
We currently cannot accept a PO Box as a shipping address. All US orders are shipped via FedEx/UPS. Be sure to include a valid street address as they will not deliver to a PO Box.
All Canadian orders are shipped via USPS. While we don't expect delays, sometimes this can happen when the package goes through customs. If you would like to have your package shipped via UPS, please give us a call at 317-896-9300. Please note, that a brokerage fee will apply, on top of the shipping cost, when the package arrives in Canada.
